Homestead Hardware is a real, physical store!!
We are located at 6910 County Road 249, Vickery, Ohio 43464.
In 1981, the Homestead Hardwoods Lumber Co. was established in Vickery, Ohio, by Bob Gray as a local family business. The company began by offering rough-cut or plained wood boards, moldings, and other wood products in a variety of wood species. Since that time, our small family business began to offer more wood products including stair parts, flooring, plywood, and wood doors.
In 2001, with the demand for our wood doors growing, we created a new division called Homestead Doors, Inc. The reason was to allow Homestead Doors to operate as a separate company that specialized strictly in wood door and trim sales, leaving Homestead Hardwoods to remain as our original lumber and plywood company. Shortly thereafter, Homestead Doors naturally began to offer door hardware products to customers to make it a one-stop shopping experience.
In 2006, in an effort to make it more convenient for customers to view our large door hardware selection, we created the website homesteadhardware.com. The new website also allowed customers to shop and purchase their hardware online in the convenience of their own home. In 2009, Homestead Hardware branched off into yet another separate company dedicated solely to providing quality brands of door hardware to homeowners and home-buiilders.
Today, all three companies still operate out of the Vickery, Ohio location. Bob has since retired and our businesses are run by his two sons John and Jake, and daughter Emily, along with several employees. Over the past four decades we have developed an excellent reputation of having a knowledgable staff, great customer service, reliability, and quality products. Thousands of satisfied customers have trusted our family companies for over 40 years!
We always have, and will always continue to strive toward providing our customers with great service, excellent products for their homes, and a selection that will continue to grow.
